Action E8 - E9: Networking with other similar Life+ projects

At the end of the project  a final bilingual report of 5-10 pages with photos will be published and it will be printed in 1,000 copies; it will be uploaded on the website site as PDF.  The report will be written with a simple but clear language to illustrate to the readers the main situations faced, objectives, actions and achieved results.  It will contain the LIFE and Natura 2000 logos as well as information about them. The material will be provided during the final international conference, local meetings with other LIFE beneficiaries and it will be also sent to all the Environment Department of Italian Provinces.   

 

The network activity with Life III and Life+ will be realized during the entire project and it includes an exchange of experiences and technical/scientific documents about the ungulates species’ management, as well as an exchange of meetings among these projects and the projects included in this candidacy.

The numbers of the meetings depends on the approved projects.

ISPRA and the regional park of Corsica are involved in projects relating to the main project.

ISPRA is in charge of the International Conference Organization in order to involve the several international partners which have the objectives of wild fauna’s protection and promotion.

The network is created by these following projects:

• agreement between Ente Foreste and  ISPRA  oriented to a spread database, situation of the conservation’s status and capture of species in Sardinia. Elaboration of a national plan for the Sardinian-Corse Deer protection. The action plan will be based on the results of foreseen actions’ results. Of the Life project.

• agreement between the Province of Medio Campidano and ISPRA that aimed to monitor and to value the deer’s population that live in the province. This monitoring will be carried out through the use of different technics (distance sampling applied to the infrared – thermography, nocturnal count). This project interacts with the life+ project that includes the monitoring of Costa Verde deer’s populations, that is the origin area of founders to the reintroduction’s actions.

This section is dedicated to the “main character of the project” and it contains:

  • Pieces of information about the species’ environment and habitat;
  • The details about Biology’s aspects;
  • The Deer’s spread in the two Islands;
  • A research about the dangers and the species’ conservation and its origin.
