Objectives

The general objectives:

  • protection of the Sardinian corse deer’s long term conservation
  • realisation of actions to improve the coexistence between human activities and the conservation of this species
  • territory’s promotion, its ecological and economic value, in order to increase the social and economic benefits for the local populations.

The specific objectives:

  • state of conservation’s improvement through the population’s growth
  • creation of four nucleus in the Rete Natura 2000 sites in Sardinia and Corse
  • improvement of the population’s genetic code
  • a deepest knowledge of the species’ biology
  • development of a general plane for the species’ management
  • creation of suitable conditions for future projects of reintroduction
  • promotion of a collaboration among the institutions involved in the deer and wildlife’s management.
