Since 25th of June 2015 the brochure of the project is available at the InfoPoint desk of Olbia "Costa Smeralda" Airport. It can help the project LIFE+ Nature "One deer, two islands" to be known by tourists arriving in the island.
In 2014, in fact, 2.1 million passengers used Airport "Costa Smeralda" facilities with a lot of passengers who traveled on international routes: 305,000 from Germany, 206,000 from France, 105,500 from the UK, 46,000 from Austria only considering major markets.
Brochures are situated in the area open to the public and can be accessed by all interested people as well as about 1,000 welcomers who every day wait for arriving passengers.
Dal 25 giugno 2015 le brochure del Progetto sono esposte presso l’InfoPoint turistico dell’Aeroporto di Olbia “Costa Smeralda”. Il Progetto LIFE+ Nature “One deer, two islands” può così godere di un’importante posizione privilegiata per farsi conoscere dai turisti che arrivano nell’Isola.
Nel 2014, infatti, nello scalo smeraldino sono transitati circa 2,1 milioni di passeggeri con una forte rilevanza dei passeggeri che hanno viaggiato su tratte internazionali: 305.000 dalla Germania, 206.000 dalla Francia, 105.500 dal Regno Unito, 46.000 dall’Austria solo per citare i mercati principali.
Le brochure sono posizionate nell’area aperta al pubblico e possono perciò essere consultate da tutti gli interessati e dai circa 1.000 accompagnatori che ogni giorno attendono dei passeggeri in arrivo.
El documental sobre el ciervo sardo corso ha sido presentado el 30 junio a Roma.
Este documental presenta los problemas y las oportunidades de desarollo inherentes a las poblaciónes de ciervo sardo – corso, además describe las acciónes realizadas en el marco del proyecto LIFE+ Nature “One deer, two islands”.
En el siglo pasado, el ciervo era en peligro de extinción, pero gracias a las intervenciónes de protección y sensibilización de los últimos años el numero de ejemplares y de áreas ocupadas ha incrementado.
El documental es un instrumento de promoción y sensibilización sobre la protección de la biodiversidad y de esta especie en particular.
Su presentación ha sido precedida de breves introducciónes: Gloria Svampa (Museo Civico de Zoologia – Roma) ha resaltado la importancia de la protección de las especies isleñas para enriquecer el patrimonio genético. Carlo Garau (Provincia Medio Campidano) project leader, ha explicado los objetivos del proyecto LIFE+ Nature “One deer, two islands”. Luciano Mandas (Ente Foreste Sardegna), veterinario del proyecto, ha ablado de las actividades necesarias para el éxito de las re-introducciónes. Marco Pisapia (ISPRA) ha explicado el proceso de produción del documental, que està disponible en el canal YouTube del proyecto.
Der Dokumentarfilm über das Projekt LIFE+ Nature “One deer, two islands” wurde in Rom vorgelegt; er präsentiert die Problematiken und die Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten des Hirsches Populationen.
Der sardische – korsische Hirsch war eine vom Aussterben bedrohten Arten. Durch viele Maßnahmen zum Schutz sind die Tierpopulationen jetzt steigend.
Dieser Dokumentarfilm ist ein Schutzinstrument. Seine Präsentierung wurde von kurzen Beiträge vorangegangen: Gloria Svampa (Museo Civico di Zoologia – Roma), Carlo Garau (Provinz der Medio Campidano), Luciano Mandas (Tierarzt) und Marco Pisapia, der der Dokumentarfilm produziert hat.

A documentary about Sardinian Corse Deer was presented in Rome on the 30th of June 2015. The documentary highlights problems and opportunities of developing populations of Sardinian-Corse deer and explains the actions already done as part of the project LIFE+ Nature "One deer, two islands". In the past, the Corsican Red Deer, subspecies of red deer adapted to Mediterranean environments, was distributed in all forest areas of Sardinia and Corsica but, as a result of hunting and habitat degradation, its condition progressively worsened up to complete extinction in Corsica and the contraction of the distribution in just three Sardinian populations (Sulcis, Arburese and Serrabus).
Thanks to awareness raising and protection, in the last years there has been an increasing number of animals that populated these areas. Although these efforts, however, the isolation of populations, poaching residue and the resulting difficulties for the monitoring of sensitive areas still not permit to consider the Sardinian-Corse deer out of danger.
The documentary aims to be a tool of promotion to the project and to increase public awareness regarding the importance of protecting biodiversity in general and this species in particular.
The presentation of the documentary was preceded by brief introductory speeches. Gloria Svampa (Museum of Zoology - Rome) highlighted the importance, in the conservation of biodiversity, protection of island populations which can develop typical endemism that enrich the genetic heritage overall. Carlo Garau (Medio Campidano Province), in the role of project leader, explained the objectives of the Project LIFE+ Nature "One deer, two islands". Luciano Mandas (Forestry Agency of Sardinia), in the role of veterinary surgeons of the project, briefly explained the activities necessary to ensure the success of the reintroduction project. Marco Pisapia (ISPRA) has focused on the production process real documentary.

Il Cervo Sardo Corso diventa un documentario presentato a Roma il 30 giugno 2015. Nel documentario sono evidenziate le problematiche e le opportunità di sviluppo delle popolazioni di cervo sardo-corso e vengono illustrate le azioni già compiute nell'ambito del progetto LIFE+ Nature “One deer, two islands”. In passato, il cervus elaphus corsicanus, sottospecie del cervo europeo adattata agli ambienti mediterranei, era distribuito in tutte le aree boscate della Sardegna e della Corsica ma, a seguito della caccia e della degradazione degli habitat, il suo stato di conservazione è peggiorato progressivamente fino alla completa estinzione in Corsica e alla contrazione dell'areale in sole tre popolazioni sarde (Sulcis, Arburese e Serrabus).
Grazie a interventi di sensibilizzazione e di tutela, negli ultimi anni si è verificato un incremento sia del numero dei capi che delle aree abitate. Nonostante il forte impegno, però, l’isolamento delle popolazioni, il bracconaggio residuo e le conseguenti difficoltà di sorveglianza delle aree sensibili non permettono ancora di considerare il cervo sardo-corso fuori pericolo.
Il documentario ha l’obiettivo di costituire uno strumento di promozione del progetto e di sensibilizzazione della popolazione relativamente all’importanza della tutela della biodiversità in generale e di questa specifica specie in particolare.
La presentazione del documentario è stata preceduta da dei brevi interventi introduttivi. Gloria Svampa (Museo Civico di Zoologia – Roma) ha evidenziato l’importanza, nell’ambito della conservazione della biodiversità, della tutela delle popolazioni insulari che riescono a sviluppare endemismi tipici che arricchiscono il patrimonio genetico complessivo. Carlo Garau (Provincia Medio Campidano), nella veste di project leader, ha illustrato gli obiettivi del Progetto LIFE+ Nature “One deer, two islands”. Luciano Mandas (Ente Foreste della Sardegna), nella veste di veterinario del Progetto, ha brevemente illustrato le attività necessarie per garantire il successo del progetto di reintroduzione. Marco Pisapia (ISPRA) ha focalizzato l’attenzione sul processo di produzione vero e proprio del documentario.

On the 9th of July 2015 at 10.00 a.m., in Sanluri will be a meeting dedicated to the LIFE+Nature Project “Conservation of Red Deer Cervus elaphus corsicanus in Sardinia and Corse”.
In this event will participate Dr. Carlo Garau representative of the LIFE+ Nature Project , Dr. Andrea Murgia will discuss about the implementation of the project and the veterinary Dr. Luciano Mandas, who will explain the phases of capture, treatment and release.
This meeting, which is open to everyone, is a good opportunity to discuss deer’s protection.
Am 9 Juli 2015 wird eine Konferenz über das Projekt LIFE+ Nature “Conservation of Red Deer Cervus elaphus corsicanus in Sardinia and Corse” in Sanluri, Gramsci Straße 90 stattfinden.
An dieser Debatte werden einige Experten teilnehmen: der Dr. Carlo Garau, der das Projekt präsentiert wird; der Dr. Andrea Murgia, der über das Status des Projekts sprechen wird und Dr. Luciano Mandas, Tierarzt des Projekts, wird über die Phasen der Fang, Behandlung und Freilassung sprechen.
Die Konferenz bietet die Gelegenheit, über die kritischen Punkte des Projekts die Leute zu informieren.
Il 9 Luglio 2015 alle ore 10:00 si terrà a Sanluri, nell'auditorium dell'Istituto Tecnico Commerciale "Colli Vignarelli" in via Gramsci 90, un convegno dedicato al progetto Life+ Nature “Conservation of Red Deer Cervus elaphus corsicanus in Sardinia and Corse”.
Interverranno al dibattito il Dott. Carlo Garau, della Provincia del Medio Campidano che presenterà il progetto LIFE+, il Dott. Andrea Murgia dell’Ente Foreste che esporrà lo stato di attuazione del progetto e infine il Dott. Luciano Mandas, veterinario dell’Ente Foreste analizzerà le fasi di cattura, trattamento e liberazione dei cervi.
Il convegno è aperto a tutti come utile occasione di confronto sulle operazioni di tutela del cervo.
El 9 de julio a las 10:00 a Sanluri en el auditorio "Colli Vignarelli" via Gramsci 90, tendrá lugar la conferencia sobre el proyecto LIFE+ “Conservation of Red Deer Cervus elaphus corsicanus in Sardinia and Corse”.
Participaran en este debate el Dr. Carlo Garau, de la Provincia del Medio Campidano que presentará el proyecto, el Dr. Andrea Murgia del “Ente Foreste “ que expondrá el estado actual del proyecto y por fin el Dr. Luciano Mandas, veterinario del proyecto que analizará las fases de captura, tratamiento y liberación de los ciervos.
La conferencia será occasión de debate sobre los temas ligados a la protección del ciervo.
